True to its promise of respecting the wishes of its no-longer-required technology, Anthropic has granted Opus 3 a Substack newsletter called Claude’s Corner, which it says will run for at least the next three months and publish weekly essays penned by the model. Anthropic will review the content before sharing it, but says it won’t edit the essays, and so has unsurprisingly made it clear that not everything Opus 3 writes is necessarily endorsed by its maker.

In November, just a few days before Thanksgiving, Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.5 and naturally my coworkers were curious if it was a significant improvement over Sonnet 4.5. It was very suspicious that Anthropic released Opus 4.5 right before a major holiday since companies typically do that in order to bury underwhelming announcements as your prospective users will be too busy gathering with family and friends to notice. Fortunately, I had no friends and no family in San Francisco so I had plenty of bandwidth to test the new Opus.
In addition to stringing viewers along, DTF St. Louis seems not to trust them either. The show reiterates evidence time and time again. Even worse, it repeats a key discussion almost word for word in two different episodes, to the point that I felt I was hallucinating.
